Overview
For individuals with diabetes, tracking blood glucose is a core pillar of managing their condition because it helps improve glycemic control, and this ultimately helps people feel better/healthier. Glucose monitoring is necessary for those on specific medications, like insulin, but can also be helpful for anyone struggling to manage their blood sugar.
The Glucose Monitoring feature gives you the ability to track blood glucose and understand your blood glucose trends over time.
Key functionality includes:
- Ability to log blood glucose data via a manual tracker in the Noom app or sync data from connected apps/devices.
- Blood glucose deep dive screen where you get an overview of your daily, weekly, and monthly logs. All views show trends over time and the percent of logs in/out of a healthy range.
- A daily screen that shows factors that influence blood glucose.
- A graph in the Progress tab that shows weekly overview and trends.

Syncing Data From Other Apps or Glucometers
Connecting the Apple HealthKit or Google Fit apps to the Noom app and permitting those apps to share blood glucose data with Noom will automatically enable the Glucose Monitoring feature and your data will auto-populate
The Noom App can sync with:
- Apple HealthKit App
- Google Fit App
- iGlucose, iHealth, Omron, and OneTouch
iOS Only
Any blood glucose data you’re currently tracking in the Apple HealthKit app can feed into the Noom app. All you need to do is connect to AppleHealthKit in Noom’s settings and give permission to share blood glucose readings.
Apple supports the following devices:
- Accu-Chek
- Contour
- Dexcom
- LifeScan/OneTouch
- One Drop
It also syncs with the following apps:
- Dexcom
- Glucobyte
- Glucose Buddy
- mySugr
- OneTouch
Android and iOS
The Noom app also works with a 3rd party service on both Android and iOS that allows us to get data from additional apps that track blood glucose. You can use this method to share data by navigating to the Noom app Settings and tapping Connect Other Devices.
Using this method, we can get data from:
- iGlucose
- iHealth
- Omron
- OneTouch.
To share data, you must tap Connect for the app you want to sync with, which will subsequently launch that app’s authentication page. You’ll then need to log into the app (using that app’s credentials) to sync data to the Noom app.
