Creating a Custom Meal
Adding your own meals, dishes, or recipes to the Noom app is easy! All you need to do is use the Custom Meal feature on iOS.
To create a custom meal in the app:
- Open the Noom app and tap the Log Your Meals task card on the home screen OR tap the Track More Habits menu on the home screen and then tap Meals.
- Select the meal type (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack).
- Tap My Meals at the top of the screen.
- Tap the Add a New Meal button.
- Enter the name of your meal or dish.
- Tap + Add Ingredient.
- Search for your first ingredient, and select the amount from the predefined list, or tap Other Units to select a custom amount. Continue this process until you’ve entered all your ingredients.
- Tap Done in the top right corner of the screen when you’re done adding all your ingredients.
- Tap Total Servings and slide your finger left or right across the ruler to adjust the total servings in the recipe (not what you ate).
- Tap Save Meal. If you don’t see the Save Meal button, tap the Return button on your device’s keyboard.
- Tap Servings Eaten and slide your finger left or right across the ruler to select the number of servings you ate.
- Tap Log x Serving to log your meal.
- Tap Done in the top right corner of the screen to finish logging that meal. Please note that the meal won’t be logged if you don’t tap Done on this screen.
Once you create a custom meal, it will remain in the My Meals section you can quickly log it again without having to recreate the custom meal.
Viewing and Editing a Custom Meal
To view or edit the ingredients in your custom meals:
- Open the Noom app and tap the Log Your Meals task card on the home screen OR tap the Track More Habits menu on the home screen and then tap Meals.
- Select the meal type (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack).
- Tap My Meals at the top of the screen.
- Select the name of the meal you’d like to view or edit.
- Edit the desired fields (Meal Name, Ingredients, or Servings).
- Tap Save Changes. If you don’t see the Save Changes button, tap the Return button on your device’s keyboard.
- Tap the back arrow (>) at the top left corner of the screen to go back to the previous screen.
Deleting a Custom Meal
To delete a custom meal:
- Open the Noom app and tap the Log Your Meals task card on the home screen OR tap the Track More Habits menu on the home screen and then tap Meals.
- Select the meal type (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack).
- Tap My Meals at the top of the screen.
- Tap the 3 dots (…)to the right of the meal name.
- Tap Delete Custom Dish.
- Tap Delete on the pop-up menu to confirm you want to delete the meal.
